If you haven't studied for some time and want to develop your study and communications skills before specialising in a particular subject this course will help you develop a range of skills to enable you to complete written work, make effective oral presentations, write tasks under timed conditions, work within a group, manage your time effectively, and think more clearly. It is an 'interdisciplinary' module, which means that it will draw on materials and approaches from a range of the humanities / social science subjects to explore particular topics like education; gender and society; cultures.
