Whether for home use or work, our computer courses will give you the skills you need for the digital age. We have modern, well-equipped computer suites at all our main centres and are able to offer adaptations and support for students with disabilities, but it is helpful if we have advance notice of your needs. For students entitled to concessions, on courses marked £R, there is no charge for tuition, just a single registration fee of £18. This is only paid once each academic year, however many courses you enrol on, although you may still have to pay for materials. All certificated courses have an exam fee which has been included in the course fees. £H Where you see this sign you may be entitled to help with exam and registration fees, please ask at interview. Please note these courses need an interview before enrolment. Learning in libraries Adult education and the library service are working in partnership to extend the range of learning opportunities in libraries. Drop-in sessions are available with tutors to help you practise or extend your skills. Contact your local library on 020 8753 2400 for further details. LEVELS Courses are offered at different levels: Entry level A fully inclusive class, ideal for people with learning or other disabilities along with mainstream students who have little or no experience and want to work at a slower pace. These courses will build confidence in basic computer skills. Level 1 Introduction to computers, computers for older learners, and anyone with a ‘fear’ of computers, plus some ‘intermediate’ level courses. Level 2 These courses are suitable for people who have some experience of using a computer either at home or work. Intermediate and above.
